Class Poem

Being Southern Local's first full-year class
We're entering the future with memories of the past.
We, as a class, have conquered great heights,
But our decisions haven't always been right.

These four great years at Southern High
Will be cherished the rest of our lives.
We will always remember the good times we've had
And relive them, along with the bad.

The year of 1967 us were at last
And through the doors of Southern we will pass,
Into a world filled with happiness and fear.
We have planned and worked to seek a career.

With courage to do and desire to win
Our class will succeed through thick and thin.

Class Song

We have taken our Sentimental Journey
Down the halls of Southern High.
We will miss our friends and all the fun
That we've had at Southern High.

On our separate ways we will go
Maybe ne'er to meet again.
We say 'Thanks' to all those who've helped us
Wish us well we're on our way.

World, here we come
Southern will you remember
Us in the days to come
AT football games and Junior proms.

As we sing this farewell song to you
Deep inside we feel so sad.
We'll remember dear old Southern High
How we hate to say good-bye.
